CMA Dubai

The Centre for Musical Arts (CMA) is passionate about sharing their knowledge of music with you and guiding you through your own personal music journey.  Whatever instrument you want to learn they are ready to support you. Established in September 2006, CMA Dubai provides an instrumental music service to several of the leading British and international schools in Dubai.

Individual lessons begin from age 6 for strings and piano, age 7 for guitar, age 8 for woodwind, brass and drums and age 10 for voice. There are first adventure music workshops designed for 4 – 7 year olds. Lessons take place weekly and on a term basis in line with the school academic year.

In addition to lessons, there are ensembles and theory classes to help develop musicianship and understanding of music progression.  They have something for all abilities from beginner; enhance knowledge, additional education to current schooling timetable or just as a hobby.  Trial lessons are available. CMA Dubai is also one of a few certified ABRSM exam centres in the UAE and they also support Trinity, LCM and Rock school exams.

The Centre is dedicated to providing quality music instruction for both adults and children alike. With individual music instruction, group classes and general music education, CMA is very proud to play a pioneering role as the provider of choice for music education in the UAE.  The Centre for Musical Arts has two specialised centres, conveniently located in the Gold and Diamond Park in central Dubai.

CMA Dubai was founded by Tala Badri, who is also the Executive Director of the center. Born and educated in Dubai, Tala studied music at Royal Holloway, University of London. She is the only female Emirati music graduate. She got a second degree in Management and Languages in 1995 and worked for ten years in the financial sector (Barclay’s Bank) and consumer sector (Mars) gaining experience in finance, human resources and management. While still in the corporate sector, Tala continued to teach flute and piano regularly and was heavily involved in the performing arts community in Dubai, including being instrumental in the development of the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre.
