With Dubai expanding so much and so quick, is the obvious nowadays that parents are looking for kids schools as close to home as possible. Driving in a busy traffic every day is not a joy and even for the kids to ride the bus for longer than 30-45 minutes is not quite acceptable. Therefore, when we choose a home, we are looking to be closer to the office and to have a nursery and a school nearby. But after the rent challenge comes the school fee challenge.
According to the Info-graphic made by Edarabia , in areas with high rent there are also expensive schools. For example, areas with high rents are Arabian Ranches, Motor City, Nad Al-Sheba, Al Sufouh and Umm Suquim while the schools with the highest fee are in the same areas: Al Sufouh – 3 schools, Arabian Ranches – 2 schools, Nad Al Sheba – 7 schools and Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) – 2 schools. Though JVC is an area with still a low rent as it is still under construction, the schools there are targeting mostly the nearby residents from Arabian Ranches, Motor City, Al Barsha, Sports City.
Other facts presented in the info-graphic refers to the last results of the annual inspection performed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai schools. In Dubai, there are now 185 private schools, from which 16 were rated “Outstanding” and 14 “Very good”, most of them having a UK curriculum.
